Nieka Coryn graduated as a neurophysiotherapist in 2025 and is currently a PhD candidate at the Human Physiology Research Group (MFYS). Her research focuses on quantifying and counteracting mental fatigue using a neurophysiological approach. Her work aims to improve the understanding of the underlying mechanisms of mental fatigue and support better strategies for the preparation and recovery in sports. Outside of research, she enjoys playing basketball.
Nieka Coryn studeerde in 2025 af als neurofysiotherapeut en is momenteel PhD-kandidaat bij de Human Physiology Research Group (MFYS). Haar onderzoek richt zich op het kwantificeren en tegengaan van mentale vermoeidheid met behulp van een neurofysiologische benadering. Haar werk is erop gericht de onderliggende mechanismen van mentale vermoeidheid beter te begrijpen en betere strategieën te ontwikkelen voor de voorbereiding en het herstel in de sport. Buiten haar onderzoek speelt ze graag basketbal.
