On 03 September 2019, an Equivital workshop for Brubotics researchers was organised at MFYS. Demonstrations were held and the hardware and software were discussed in detail. Afterwards there was time for all kinds of questions about data collection and analysis.
The Equivital offers a detailed, clinical physiological overview during various activities. The equipment is easy to attach around the chest and records the electrocardiogram, breathing, skin and body temperature, body activity and position, etc. It is wirelessly connected to a computer and uses external sensors for some applications. It is an ideal addition to laboratory experiments, but also to field tests during the evaluation of, for example, prostheses, orthoses or exoskeletons.
