The research unit ARCS, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Steven Provyn, was created to give answers to many questions coming from clinicians through anatomy. Therefore, several research topics/lines exist within ARCS: obesity, medical imaging, lymphology, morphology, neurology, osteo-archaeology, cancer research, and so on.
Almost all research within the unit is based on anatomy (dissections and interventions).
The research line on obesity and ergonomics is an exception. Obesity research mainly focuses on the effect of extreme weight loss on body composition, as well as changes in morphology, neurology, and biomechanics.
ARCS is located on our medical campus in Jette.
