Biography
Dr. Díaz obtained her interdisciplinary PhD in Movement Science and Engineering from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). As a researcher at the Brubotics center, she specialized in biomechanics and methods for personalizing robotic assistance to improve human-robot interaction. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Human Physiology and Sports Physiotherapy research group (MFYS) of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
Her research focuses on understanding human movement in the contexts of robotics, rehabilitation and sports, using approaches such as human-in-the-loop optimization.
