Biography
CURRENT AND PREVIOUS FUNCTION: María Alejandra Díaz P. obtained her interdisciplinary PhD in Movement Science and Engineering from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). As a researcher at the Brubotics center, she specialized in biomechanics and methods for personalizing robotic assistance to improve human-robot interaction. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Human Physiology and Sports Physiotherapy research group (MFYS) of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
RESEARCH AREA: Her research focuses on understanding human movement in the contexts of robotics, rehabilitation and sports, using approaches such as human-in-the-loop optimization.
