We are pleased to announce that the Erasmus+ collaborative project, Higher Education to Improve Competence in Sports Physiotherapy (SportsComp), has been awarded €400,000 for a 3-year international project.
The project consortium includes five organisations: Jamk University of Applied Sciences, the University of Tartu, the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, the University of Thessaly and the International Federation of Sports Physical Therapy.
Coordinated by Jamk University of Applied Sciences, the project aims to raise the quality of sports physical therapy education and profession through competence development. The project improves the excellence of sports physiotherapy, physiotherapy and rehabilitation education and supports the improvement of European healthcare and sports systems. Meanwhile, the involvement and role of the International Federation of Sports Physiotherapy (IFSPT) is crucial to transfer the results of the project to a wide range of international institutions for use and to influence the education and profession of sports physiotherapy worldwide.
