
The SportsComp project’s three e-learning courses developed in Work Package 3 are ready. Development of the courses took place during a 9-month period, between June 2024 - March 2025. The three e-learning courses were developed based on the competency update of Work Package 2. Each of the courses equal to 5 ECTS Credits. Two of the developed courses will be piloted by the project experts in autumn 2025 targeting sports physiotherapy and physiotherapy students, field experts and teachers at EQF level 7.

Diversity and Inclusion in Sports
Unlock the power of diversity and inclusion in sports with our multidimensional course, "Diversity and Inclusion in Sports," starting autumn 2025. This 5 ECTS Credits course at EQF level 7 is designed for physiotherapists who aim to excel in culturally complex sports settings. Dive into topics like cultural competence, equity, and ethical care, and learn to navigate and promote inclusivity in sports. Enhance your skills to communicate and collaborate effectively with athletes, coaches, and support personnel from diverse backgrounds. Flexible scheduling and an e-learning format make the course accessible for full-time and part-time learners globally.
The course includes six comprehensive modules: Introduction to Diversity and Inclusion in Sports, Cultural Competence in Sports, Barriers to Inclusion in Sports, Inclusive Practices in Physiotherapy (Skills and Policies), and Ethical Considerations for Physiotherapists.
From Research to Innovation in Sports Physiotherapy Practice
“From Research to Innovation in Sports Physiotherapy Practice” is a course (5 ECTS Credits) that covers a comprehensive overview of topics, such as statistics, research methodology, innovation and artificial intelligence (AI) in sports. This e-learning course emphasises the importance of understanding the sources of evidence regarding research. By understanding the language of research, sports physiotherapists can be more mindful when reading about research or when addressing innovation advertising.
Course includes five comprehensive modules: Introduction to Research Methodology, Interpreting and Implementing Evidence into Practice, Digital Tranformation and Innovation in Sports Physiotherapy, Evidence-Based practice, and Implementation and Evaluation of Innovations.
Registration to the e-learning courses:
The piloting of the two e-learning courses takes place in Work Package 4 during autumn 2025, between 15.9 and 15.12.2025. The two courses run simultaneously and are facilitated by the project experts. Both courses are offered free of charge and implemented in English. During the three-month piloting period, both courses include three webinars; otherwise, courses are carried out individually by the registered learners via Moodle LMS.

The Erasmus+ funded project, Higher education to improve competency in Sports Physiotherapy (SportsComp) is implemented in cooperation with Jamk University of Applied Sciences, Tartu Ulikool, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Panepistimio Thessalias and International Federation of Sports Physical Therapy.
